Office for Kosovo condemns attack on Mitrovica school

The Serbian government Office for Kosovo strongly condemned the throwing of an explosive device into a schoolyard in Kosovska Mitrovica, noting the attack was designed to unsettle Serbs at the most sensitive stage of the Belgrade-Pristina talks.

"The Office for Kosovo calls for restraint and insists that the international community make the connection between incidents causing instability and Pristina's stalling in appointing a Serb regional police commander," the office said in a release. No one was injured in the explosion which occurred late Tuesday, but four vehicles and windows on nearby buildings were damaged. The Kosovo police are looking for the attackers.
