Belgrade-Pristina dialogue postponed until September

The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which was announced to continue in Brussels on July 20 and 21, has been postponed until September at the request of the EU mediator Robert Cooper, said Head of the Belgrade team for dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic.

According to him, the talks were postponed because the team from Pristina demanded to display elements of Kosovo's statehood during the meeting, which Belgrade could not accept.

Stefanovic said that the EU assessed that at the moment, the two sides cannot find a compromise on issues being discussed.

Belgrade and Pristina were supposed to discuss electricity, telecommunications, cadastre, as well as customs seals in Brussels tomorrow.

The Belgrade and Pristina teams met in Brussels in early July and reached the first agreement, on freedom of movement and registers, and generally about university diplomas.
