"Serbia wants independent organ trade investigation"
Serbia wants an independent investigation into human organ trafficking in Kosovo, Serbian Deputy War Crimes Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric told.

Commenting on a proposal that the UN Security Council form a body that would be tasked with the investigation, which will be discussed mid-May, he said that the U.S., Great Britain, France and Germany, were not enthusiastic about the idea and thought EULEX should deal with it.
"EULEX is not the problem, it is the environment in Kosovo, where information leaks are common and witness protection is unsatisfactory," Vekaric explained.
"That is why we think it is better for the institution in charge of the inquiry to be based outside Kosovo," he added.
The deputy war crimes prosecutor believes it is still possible that the Serbian war crimes prosecutor, the Albanian prosecutor and EULEX be tasked with the investigation if the proposal is denied.
However, he stressed that such an inquiry would have to be monitored to make sure no one could obstruct it.
Vekaric thinks political reasons could be behind Albania's persistent refusal to take part in the investigation.
"We have a cooperation agreement with Albania, which was signed back in 2005, and we wanted to conduct a joint investigation based on that," he noted.
