Patriarch Irinej: God will save Kosovo
His Holiness, Serbian Patriarch Irinej stated that a dark cloud lingers over the sacred Serbian land, Serbian Jerusalem, Kosovo, where the Pec patriarchate, centuries-long seat of Serbian archbishops and patriarchs, is and he expressed hope that despite this, all Serbian holy sites in Kosovo will forever remain Serbian treasure as well as that of world's heritage.

At the ceremony in the Belgrade National Theater on the occasion of his enthronement in the Pec Patriarchate on October 3, Irinej reminded that he requested of the world officials not to forsake Kosovo's sanctity and importance for the Serbian people who has lived there for centuries.
