Macedonia: No deadline for Kosovo recognition
Macedonia has denied reports about deadlines for its recognition of Kosovo’s unilateral secession, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said.

"Macedonia has its own state interests, its policy, arguments and partners. The European Union and NATO are there too," Grueski said.
"There is no deadline", he added.
Grueski admitted, however, that the two main ethnic Albanian parties in the country are pressing him for Kosovo to be recognised as soon as possible.
Ethnic Albanian parties in Macedonia, Gruevski's ruling partner, the Democratic Party of Albanians, DPA, and the opposition Democratic Union for Integration - whose supporters were involved in deadly inter-Albanian clashes on elections day last Sunday -are strongly linked with the ethnic Albanian authorities in Pristina.
