Baton Haxhiu, a former editor of the Pristina daily "Koha Ditore" and long-time contributor to Deutsche Welle, is the third Kosovo Albanian in three weeks to be charged for contempt of court in the Haradinaj case.
He reportedly revealed the name of a witness testifying against Haradinaj.
Nine witnesses against Haradinaj were killed before and during the trial.
In April, Haradinaj was cleared of all charges of torture, rape, murder and persecution of Serbs during the 1998-99 war, but noted "the significant difficulties encountered by the Chamber in securing testimony of a large number of witnesses".
Earlier this month, prosecutors filed an appeal with the appeals chamber for Haradinaj's retrial due to what they said was "the prevailing circumstances of witness intimidation and fear".
