Feith: Eulex will start functioning on June 15
The EU special representative in Kosovo Pieter Feith said that the EU mission Eulex will start functioning on June 15, when the new Pristina consitution enters in force.

"After June 15, the International Civilian Office will be a special authority in Kosovo in charge of assisting and counselling the impelementation of Marti Ahtisaari's plan", Feith said after meeting Kosovo's Prime minister Hashim Thaqi.
However, Feith did not refer to problems which Eulex is facing in obtaining a green light from the UN on its deployment and functioning.
He did not say anything either on the fact that his function as "International Civilian Representative" is not legally binding since it was created by 15 countries which he calls "friends of the independent Kosovo".
