Pristina cautious about Serb poll results

Ethnic Albanian politicians in Kosovo have expressed caution about the results in the Serbian parliamentary elections, as the international press underlined that the Kosovo Serbs showed once again their rejection of Pristina’s sovereignty by voting on Sunday in elections organized by Belgrade.

Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci said Serbian voters decided to "choose the future, not the past", but he urged the President of Serbia Boris Tadic do "think more about Brussels and NATO than about Kosovo".

"Unfortunately, Tadic has not expressed any willingness to act reasonably on Kosovo," Xhavit Beqiri, the spokesman for Kosovo's President Fatmir Sejdiu, said.

Pristina policians and media have been very critical about the holding of Serbia's elections in Kosovo.
