Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic welcomed by 10,000 Serbs in Kosovo
Serbian tennis player and recent winner at the Australian Open and Indian Wells Novak Djokovic was welcomed by around 10,000 people at the central Sumadija Square in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on Thursday.

Djokovic's family is originally from Zvecan, just north of Kosovska Mitrovica.
"This place is really deep, deep within my heart and I will keep returning here always, whenever I can, and I will provide support to the people that need it the most," the famous young tennis player said, addressing the thrilled crowd.
Djokovic, accompanied by his family members, then headed for the tennis courts in Zvecan, of which he is honorary citizen.
