Poland blames UNMIK for the injury of its 28 policemen in the March 17 violence
Poland has put blame on UNMIK for the injuries of its 28 policemen during the March 17 violence in Kosovska Mitrovica, which was triggered by Unmik police action against Serb protesters in a courthouse, a report by the Polish interior ministry says.

"The action was carried out on the anniversary of the ethnic cleansing of Serbs (March 17, 2004) and exactly a month after the proclamation of independence of Kosovo", the report said, calling it a big mistake.
One Ukrainian policeman died and some 150 people were injured in the clashes between Unmik police and Serb demonstrators in the aftermath of Unmik's action.
The Polish ministry has also criticized "very poor coordination" between Unmik and Kfor and said the UN police should have received much earlier an approval to use rubber bullets to dispel the protesters.
