Argentina: We will not recognize Kosovo’s secession
Argentina will notrecognize Kosovo’s unilateral secession as it would become a dangerous precedent which is not in the interest of Buenos Aires, Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana said on Friday.

Taiana said Argentina could not recognize Kosovo as long as the question of the Malvines (Falkland) islands is not resolved.
"If we recognize Kosovo which has declared independence unilaterally, without an agreement with Serbia, we would create a dangerous precedent which would seriously endanger our chances for the political resolution of the Malvines problem", Taiana said.
He recalled that in 1999, Argentina has voted for the UN Resolution 1244 because it was respecting the territorial integrity of states.
"One should not forget that the UN Resolution 1244 clearly says that the dispute must be resolved by an agreement or negotiations between the sides", Taina said.
