Serb members of the Kosovo Police Service have quit their jobs in the eastern, Kosovsko Pomoravlje region, in protest against the unilateral declaration of secession of Kosovo.

They have gathered in the village of Ranilug to agree on future moves of action, which will be coordinated with the Action plan of the Republic of Serbia.
KPS spokesman Ismet Hashani said Serb members had quit, but could not confirm their numbers.
"It is true some Serbs haven't shown up for work in the last few days, some of them are on vacation, some are using their days off, we do not know the exact number. KPS has enough forces to maintain security in the region," he said.
