24 injured as Serb demonstrators clash with Albanian KPS police on administrative

Some one hundred Serbian demonstrators, mostly war veterans, clashed with the Kosovo Albanian KPS police at the administrative line between Serbia and its southern province, which declared a unilateral secession last week.

The clash occurred at the crossing point of Mutivoda, in nothheastern Kosovo, where Serb war veterans protested against the unilateral secession.

A total of 19 policemen and at least five demonstrators were injured in the hour-long clash which began when the gathered protesters started throwing stones and glass bottles at the police, which used tear gas to disperse them.

Kfor intervened to calm down the situation.

No violence was reported in Kosovska Mitrovica, as some 2,000 Serbs continued their protests for the eight day in a row.
