"We call on this body to condemn the unilateral and illegal declaration of independence by the authorities in Pristina from the Republic of Serbia by reaffirming the OSCE's basic principles and values," Jeremic told the OSCE permanent council on Tuesday, convened at Serbia's request by the organization's Finnish chairmanship.

By declaring its independence, Kosovo contravened international agreements, including the U.N. Charter, Jeremic said.

On Wednesday, in Strasbourg, Jeremic told the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers that even a discussion about Pristina's request for membership in the body would represent the breaking of principles of this organisation.

"This would make the Council of Europe a collaborator in the flagrant breaking of international law", Jeremic said.

He said the world was changed by the illegal secession of Kosovo on Sunday.

"The world has changed, but not for the better. As a result of this enemy act by the Pristina authorities, the international order has become more unstable and insecure", Jeremic said.

His Foreign ministry has already recalled ambassadors from the countries which have recognized Kosovo.
