All major players on Kosovo's political scene are expected to take part in the process, as well as a number of Western diplomats in Pristina. The future document, widely seen as a cornerstone of Kosovo's "statehood", would include the implementation of former Finish President Martti Ahtisaari's status proposal.
The declaration, according to Pristina officials, will comprise parts of the "Constitutional declaration" adopted by Kosovo Albanian deputies in 1990.
A special working group of the Kosovo government has also started preparing a scenario of the celebrations linked to the unilateral declaration of independence.
Following the session of the Kosovo parliament, a concert of the Kosovo Philharmonic orchestra will take place in a Pristina sports hall, with the participation of key Albanian leaders and some members of the diplomatic corps.
