"Our position is crystal clear: any solution for Kosovo must be accepted by both sides", Putin wrote in an article for the Bulgarian media, published ahead of his Friday visit to Sofia.
"It is also clear that any solution for Kosovo is a precedent for international practice," Putin added.
The Russian president said peace and progress could be achieved "only by taking into account each other's views and stepping away from stereotypes of the past "
He underlined that the basis of the united Europe should be cemented by principles of obligation of respect of international law.
"By doing so, we can reach together solutions for the most common regional problems, of which the Kosovo problem is the most actual one for the Balkans", the Russian president said.
