Kosachov: Russia will not allow any UNSC decisions on independence of Kosovo
Russia will not allow any decions related to the independence of Kosovo in the UN Security Council, Konstantin Kosachov, the Foreign Affairs Chairman of the Duma said in Moscow.

"Even if independence is declared and recognized by some Western countries, a perspective of Kosovo as a UN member state does not exist", Kosachov said.
"Every single day, we have an increase of the likelihood of a unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo (...) talks from the start did not not have much chance for success since one of the sides - the Kosovo Albanians - have been promised recognition of independence sooner or later", he added.
"The responsibility is on those who are sending such signals to the Kosovo separatists - the United States and some EU countries", Kosachov said.
