The Pristina district prosecutor's office has launched the investigation against the two ministers, based on a report by the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency.
Minister Gjini is allegedly being suspected of corruption, while Education Minister Agim Veliu is suspected of accepting bribe while at the post of Podujevo mayor.
Another Kosovo minister, Astrit Haracia, in charge of sports and culture, will appear before the Hague war crimes tribunal's judges on January 10, following a series of "informative questionings" and rather harsh accusations by the UN prosecutors.
Haracia, a member of Haradinaj's Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), confirmed that the Hague tribunal had accused him of "contacting a protected witness in an apparent attempt to discourage him from testifying" against the former rebel leader accused of war crimes against Serbs.
