Kosovo Serbs: EU mission not welcome without UN SC decision

: Some 10,000 Kosovo Serbs, gathered at a rally in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica on Tuesday, said that without a new UN resolution no EU mission would be welcome in the province, and voiced their support for the Serbian delegation ahead of the UN Security Council session on Kosovo.

Kosovo Serb leader Marko Jaksic addressed the crowd on behalf of the organizers. "Our delegation in New York is not only defending Serbia's interests, but also the very foundations of international law and international principles, on which the entire world order is based," he said.

"We will not do any trade, we will not sell Kosovo in exchange for a better life, we will not sell our soul, because if we do so we will have no future," Jaksic said, urging the Serbs not to be afraid, and to remain, united, in Kosovo.

The Kosovo Serbs announced that if Pristina declared independence they would not acknowledge that decision.

Meanwhile, Serbian Parliament Speaker Oliver Dulic announced that a parliamentary session on Kosovo would most likely be held next week.

Dulic added that the session would take place after the return of the negotiating team from New York, and that the parliament would most likely vote on a new resolution on Kosovo, which would provide the negotiating team with new guidelines.
