Kostunica: Serbia to advocate more talks at the UNSC meeting
Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said Monday that he would offer the continuation of negotiations on Kosovo before the U.N. Security Council and would stress that Serbia had already rejected and annulled any unilateral acts on the making of a puppet state on its territory.

"We can negotiate, we are ready for compromise, but Serbia must remain whole. By the will of the people, the Serbian Constitution confirmed that Kosovo is a part of Serbia and it can never be otherwise for the Serbian government and state institutions," Kostunica pointed out, prior to his departure for the U.N. Security Council session scheduled for December 19.
"Also, given the threats looming over Serbia, it is our duty today to stand up against a severe violation of international law and the attempt to seize our territory. We have no other choice but to be against that kind of policy of force and to never give up on our right to preserve an integral Serbia," the prime minister said.
Kostunica underscored that Serbia relied on the law, and could and would accept no less than a compromise solution for the province, which would be approved by the U.N. Security Council.
