Serbian president, Boris Tadic, thanked Baconschi for the firm support Romania is giving Serbia on its EU integrations road, said reports.
During the meeting, Baconschi stressed that his country strongly supports Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, Tadic's press office said in a statement.
Romania is one of the five EU countries that have not recognized the Kosovo Albanian unilateral declaration of independence.
Baconschi also met with his Serbian counterpart. Vuk Jeremic has thanked his Romanian colleague for the "brave stance" of Bucharest in view of the unilateral secession of Kosovo, while Bakonski has emphasized that the position of Romania is a matter of principles and solidarity.
He also pointed that Serbia should be playing a key role in the process of west Balkan's integrations with the EU.
