70 percent of Kosovo population unsatisfied with authorities, Unmik
The vast majority of Kosovo citizens, or 71 per cent said they were unsatisfied by the rule of United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), the latest UNDP Early Warning Report said.

"As of October 2007, approximately 29 per cent of survey respondents are satisfied with the work of UNMIK and 28 per cent with Provisional Institutions of Self-Governance (PISG)" ruled by the Kosovo Albanian politicians, UNDP said. Compared to June, the overall approval of UNMIK chief Joachim Ruecker dropped sharply by 14 per cent.
The latest UNDP survey, showed that 54 per cent of Kosovo residents had expressed pessimism over the overall political and economic situation, but their readiness to stage protests had increased to 74 per cent.
However, only 1,1 per cent Albanians polled said that Kosovo should continue negotiations with Belgrade over the future status of Kosovo, compared with 54,4 per cent who believe that Kosovo should declare independence and implement Ahtisaari's plan. On the other hand, Kosovo Serbs believe that negotiations should continue.
