"This is a fight between David and Goliath. We don't nearly have that power, means and influence, but we have truth, international law and justice on our side. We will do everything to prevent new recognitions of Kosovo," said Jeremic, while attending the African Union Council session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Jeremic said that he was satisfied with the Serbian delegation's results at the gathering, but that it remains to be seen in the weeks ahead how successful it has in fact been.
"At the African Union meeting, we were witnesses of a well-organized campaign that has the goal of increasing the number of countries that are recognizing Kosovo and Metohija," the minister said.
He specified that several dozen African countries were being pressured ahead of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) non-binding ruling on the legality of the proclamation.
According to Jeremic, Serbia's delegation has been holding a great number of meetings, and is doing everything in their power to prevent new recognitions.
"I think that the danger has not been removed yet, but here in Addis Ababa, we will continue to work with delegations from all African countries."
