Kosovo government accused of "suffocating" media
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) accused Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and his government of threatening media freedom and freedom of speech.

AAK lawmaker Donika Kada-Bujupi compared the current government to a "communist regime".
Elsewhere, NGOs marked International Right to Know Day by describing the Public Prosecutor's Office as the least transparent institution in Kosovo. The police were described as the most transparent institution.
