Lunacek, who is supposed to be an impartial rapporteur and not a lobbyist, pledged to Kosovo Albanian parliament speaker Jakup Krasniqi, a former warlord turned politician, that her delegations' members will contact lawmakers from five EU countries rejecting Kosovo's unilateral secession: Spain, Slovakia, Romania, Greece and Cyprus.
Lunacek's predecessor as rapporteur Joost Lagendijk was the most arduous lobbyist for Kosovo's secession in the European Parliament.
