Abbas against imposed solutions for Kosovo, Middle East

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Serbia President Boris Tadic said in Belgrade on Tuesday that the final and peaceful solution to the crisis in the Middle East and other troubled areas, such as Kosovo, could be reached through negotiations only.

‘We want to solve all our problems mutually through respect of the international law. We are seeking peace through negotiations respecting international norms and the enforced solutions are not acceptable for us', Abbas said.

"Serbia shall as much as it can support the peace process since only dialog can lead to final peace", Tadic said. ‘We highly appreciate the stance of Palestine to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia. Kosovo is not a religious but exclusively a political issue presently being considered by the International Court of Justice', the Serbian president added.
