"Imposed solutions would not only endanger the sustainability of the solution itself and the whole region, but it would be, also, a dangerous precedent of the UN Charter and the principles of international law", she said in an interview.
Kozakou-Marcoullis said that the ideal solution for Kosovo should respect Serbian sovereignty and territorial integrity, and simultaneously protect the interests, rights, identity and security of both Kosovo Serbs and Albanians.
The Cypriot foreign minister urged members of the international community to sustain from statements which could be interpreted as calls for unilateral moves, because such statements could diminish the process and undermine the sides' motive to engage in the negotiations.
Cyprus is widely seen as one of the main supporters of the negotiated outcome of the ongoing talks between Belgrade and Pristina on Kosovo's future status.
