Radovan Radic, 28-year old ethnic Serb man, was beaten by two ethnic Albanians on a highway that connects Zubin Potok and Kosovska Mitrovica, in northern Kosovo.
He was beaten after his car slammed into a van. Radic was attempting to maneuver his car after he suddenly encountered two cars blocking his road. After escaping the trap sewt up by two cars Radic lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a van.
That's when the two ethnic Albanians that have set up the road block rushed towards his car dragged him out and started beating him with their pistols. The men repeatedly beat Radic in his head.
Spokesman for the ethnic Albanian police in Kosovo, Besim Hoti, said that the attack happened around 2 pm and confirmed that the ethnic Albanian men attacked the driver.
A doctor in the Kosovska Mitrovica, Dr. Sasa Simic, says that Radic has 12 injuries on his head as a result of hits by a blunt object.
"The patient has injuries in the areas of nose and side of the head... the diagnosis of the degree of injury is unwarranted because it is ongoing," said dr. Simic.
Radic was beaten near village of Kosutovo which is an ethnic Albanian village.
The police does not have a motive for the attacks.
In another town in Kosovo, a Serb woman was attacked by masked men and the ethnic Albanian police there has no motive for this attack either.
Stojanka Vasic from the village of Staz, near Gnjilane, was attacked by 3 masked men who broke inside her house and after a beating made injuries to her skull.
Police says that they are investigating the attack.
