UNMIK to reduce number of personnel in Kosovo to 500
The UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) will additionally reduce the number of their personnel till summer, so that about 500 of their employees should remain there, UNMIK spokesperson Alexander Ivanko confirmed on Monday.

In an interview with BBC, Ivanko said that UNMIK's role had been transformed into the role of a rapporteur and political observer that should follow the events there.
Following the demands of Pristina to abolish the Unmik mission, Ivanko pointed out that that would have to be a decision of the UN Security Council.
