Panama recognized on Friday the unilateral secession of Kosovo from Serbia, said the country's Foreign Minister Samuel Lewis Navarro.

"Panama has formally recognized today the independence of Kosovo and it has welcomed the Republic of Kosovo to the concert of the nations,"" Navarro said.
Kosovo's secession has been recognized by 54 out of 192 UN members.
