Serb police arrests four suspects in the 1999 murder of 14 Albanians

Serbian police arrested four members of the paramilitary formation called the “Scorpions” in connection with the 1999 murder of 14 Kosovo Albanians during the NATO bombing campaign.

The four have been arrested in Sremska Mitrovica, in northern Serbia.

They are accused of having participated in the murder of 14 Albanian civilians and the wounding of five children on March 28, 1999 in Podujevo, in northern Kosovo.

In 2005, a former member of the "Scorpions", Sasa Cvjetan, was condemned by a Belgrade court to 20 years in prison for his involvement in the crime.
