Prague: Technical talks between Belgrade and Pristina are possible
The Czech Ambassador to Pristina Janina Hrebickova said on Monday that the Czech Republic did not rule out the possibility that talks between Pristina and Belgrade might be held during the Czech presidency over the European Union in the first half of 2009, including talks on the Belgrade-UN six-item plan.

After a meeting with Kosovo parliament speaker Jakup Krasniqi, Hrebickova did not specify the way in which these talks would be organised or quoted the possible date of their beginning, but said that she expected signals from the UN Mission in Kosovo and from Pristina and Belgrade.
It depends on Pristina and Belgrade who will make the first step and after the reaction it will be seen what kind of technical talks can be led. Later, it will depend on the UN Mission in Kosovo and we will see with the European Commission and EULEX to prepare a package with some kind of scenario for this process," Hrebickova said.
Krasniqi said that the Kosovo parliament would not discuss the six-item plan and that Pristina institutions had clearly voiced their stand on the plan.
