Churkin: UNSC prerogative preserved in Kosovo

"The Security Council prerogatives have been maintained, application of Resolution 1244 has been maintained, success has been made with the preservation of the UN political control over Kosovo," he said.
At the General Assembly, Russia supported Serbia in a vote on the resolution in which the UN Security Council asked the International court of Justice to give its legal assessment of the unilateral declaration of Kosovo's independence, the Russian diplomat said.
