Albania urges Pakistan to recognize Kosovo’s independence
Prime Minister of Albania, Sali Berisha has urged Pakistan to recognize independence of Kosovo

During a meeting with Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Makhdoom Yousaf Raza Gillani Gillani, Prime Minister Berisha discussed the issues of mutual interest in the region, particularly on the recognition of Kosovo independence.
Berisha expressed that "recognition of Kosovo independence is a cardinal significance to the security and peace in the region and Pakistan can play a very important role in recognizing Kosovo, by encouraging other amicable nations as well."
Tirana has provided its diplomatic logistics in the lobbying effort for the recognition of Kosovo's unilateral secession.
