The Serbian prosecution has accused the Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha of ordering “to the state security services to destroy documents about the missing Serbs in Kosovo, their transport to Albania and the organ trade”

According to the prosecutor's office, Berisha made this decision under the influence of former Kosovo Prime minister and commander of the Kosovo Liberation army Ramush Haradinaj.

According to the evidence presented by the Serbian prosecution to the Albanian justice, the kidnapped Serbs were taken out of Kosovo to several locations in northern Albania, including in the vicinity of Kukes, Tropoya and the Deva mine, where KLA camps were held before and during the conflict.

This part of the border is neighbouring the zone of responsibility of the "Dukadjin" unit of the KLA, under control and command by Haradinaj.

Haradinaj was acquitted by the Hague tribunal in April for "lack of evidence" after key witnesses were murdered or intimidated during the process.

The Serbian prosecution says it will now turn its evidence to the special rapporteur of the Council of Europe on the case, Dick Marty.
