RCC to remain status neutral in respect to Kosovo
The Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) for South Eastern Europe Hido Biscevic said that RCC was neutral and that it should remain neutral as far as the issue of Kosovo and other status issues were in question

"The Regional Cooperation Council is a neutral body and it has to remain neutral, no matter what status issue in South East Europe may be in question, since otherwise we would deprive ourselves of the platform our work is based on," Biscevic said on the occasion of the opening of a RCC office in Brussels.
He pointed out that such a position of the Council, which this year replaced the Stability Pact for South East Europe, had been accepted everywhere in the region, which was why he did not see any reason why Kosovo could not take part in the work of that body as well.
"Whatever your position on Kosovo status may be, development is something that has to go on. If you think that Kosovo is part of Serbia, then you have even more reason to accept the fact that Kosovo must not be hindered in its development. And if you think, like the people in Pristina, that Kosovo is a new entity, then you have to invest in its development. Therefore, you should use the Council to bridge your mutual differences," Biscevic said.
According to him, this cooperation should particularly be focused on the priorities such as energy, transportation, infrastructure and environment protection.
