34 injured, as 15,000 protesters urge Podgorica to cancel its recognition of Kosovo

At the end of the protest, police clashed with demonstrators leaving 34 injured. Police used riot gear and tear gas to disperse protesters.
Prior to the clashes, opposition party leaders and whips of Montenegrin parliament told the crowd they will never accept the Montenegrin government decision to recognize the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo.
They asked the government to revoke its decision on the recognition of the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo, or to call a referendum in which citizens would express their stand on this issue, or, as the third option, to call early parliamentary elections.
Should the government fail to do any of these things by Wednesday, the opposition will withdraw from parliament and continue their political struggle to topple the regime in an extra-parliamentary fight, opposition leaders have announced.
