Jeremic: UN GA backing realistic
Serbia's chances to have its initiative to request the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion on the legality of Kosovo's unilateral independence backed by the majority member states of the UN General Assembly (UN GA) are realistic, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic stated late on Sunday

"Our chances to win the majority are realistic, but we should be aware of the fact that some most powerful countries of the world, which have been increasing their pressure over the past several days on the UN member states to vote against our initiative on Wednesday, are on the other side," Jeremic said.
"The big and powerful are against us but I believe that law and justice are on our side and that we will succeed", said Jeremic.
"No one should vote for our political option, but rather only for the right of one member of the United Nations to seek an advisory opinion from the ICJ", Jeremic said, adding that he had sought support from over 100 foreign ministers.
