Three possible scenarios at UN GA on October 8
The spokesman of the UN General Assembly president Enrique Yeves said on Thursday that on October 8, when the UN General Assembly is due to vote on a draft resolution on Kosovo proposed by Serbia, three scenarios are possible: to adopt the proposal automatically, to hold a debate and possibly postpone its adoption or to put the document to a vote

At its plenary session called for October 8, the 192-member assembly is to debate Serbia's draft resolution calling for an advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence.
"In situations like this one, the mover state usually presents the resolution at the opening, the president then calls on representatives of the Assembly member states to take part in a debate, if they wish to, and after that three scenarios are possible", Yeves said.
When asked whether it is possible to change the resolution text at this stage, Yeves evaluated that Serbia's resolution is rather clear, but he also pointed out that the text might be amended if the member states agree.
