Serbian PM asks Montenegro not to recognise Kosovo's independence
Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic appealed on his Montenegrin counterpart Milo Djukanovic in Podgorica on Wednesday to refrain from recognising the independence of Kosovo and voiced his expectation that this issue would be transferred from the political to the legal arena after the UN General Assembly

Meanwhile, a high-ranking official of Montenegro's ruling party says Podgorica would not take a decision before the UN voting on the ICJ resolution.
Miodrag Vukovic of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) said that "pressure is being imposed on Montenegro" to recognize Kosovo's unilaterally declared independence.
"There is pressure and this is nothing new. Montenegro, however, is not being blackmailed by anyone to recognize Kosovo, said Vukovic, adding that Montenegro is "waiting for things to fall into their place before it decides on the matter".
"We will wait to see what the fate of Serbia's initiative in the UN will be, and to see further procedure on the issue. The decision itself, as it has been said many times so far, will be made in keeping with the country's state interests, Vukovic said.
