Kosovo denied membership in international railway, European handball associations
The public enterprise Serbian Railways has prevented the membership of the so-called Kosovo Railways into the International Union of Railways (UIC) and the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER), Serbian railways announced

At the general assembly of these two of the most important international railway organizations in Berlin, the Kosovo Railways submitted an official request for membership, but it was not put on the agenda and thus failed.
Serbia's ministry for sports has meanwhile announced it has succeeded in blocking Kosovo's membership in the European Handball Federation.
