Serbia's initiative will be discussed under the theme of "international law".

The decision on whether to ask the opinion from the ICJ can be brought by a simple majority of votes of UN members.

It is possible, however, to have amendments on the draft resolution, which means that some countries could ask for the reformulation of the Serbian proposal.

Great Britain has hinted it might ask for changes in the proposal, but Serbia has rejected the idea outright.
