Kubis has rejected a request from Kosovo's officials to recognize Pristina's newly issued passports regardless of the fact that Slovakia does not recognize Kosovo's independence, it was said after a meeting between the Slovakian foreign minister and Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu, which was held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.
At the same occasion, Kubis reaffirmed the Slovak stand that each UN member state has the right to address the International Court of Justice, and that therefore Bratislava rejects to deny Serbia the right to seek an advisory opinion on the legality of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
