Kosovo has highest unemployment rate in Europe and Central Asia
As much as 45 percent of the working population in Kosovo is jobless, which represents the highest unemployment rate in Europe and Central Asia, says a new survey published on Tuesday

According to the data, Kosovo has the highest rate of unemployment of all countries covering the territory of Europe and Central Asia. The number of unemployed young people in Kosovo is five times higher than the average in the European Union.
About 30 percent of the young workers in Kosovo receive no salary for their work, another 30 percent are working on temporary basis or with shortened working hours, and the remaining percentage is entirely excluded from the working process, accounting for the poorest citizens in Kosovo.
