Kosovo citizens: Economy more important than recognition of secession
Kosovo citizens want to focus more on social and economic issues than recognition of Kosovo’s independence, a research by the Institute for Ethnic Relations in Pristina said on Thursday

They want to focus the attention particularly on two huge problems facing Kosovo today: corruption and organized crime.
According to the survey, the main priority of Kosovo citizens is no longer the issue of the province's unilaterally proclaimed independence, but social interests.
59.9 percent of citizens believe that the media should treat social problems, poverty and unemployment as priorities, instead of politics, which only 16 percent of citizens see as a priority.
Kosovo is the poorest region in Europe.
