Serbian Deputy Premier Bozidar Djelic announced that the government has accepted the amendment of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) to the proposed law on the SAA.
The radicals' amendment envisages that, as the second article of the law, a provision is placed specifying that Serbia, as the legal successor to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, understands the SAA provisons as confirmation that the Agreement does not jeopardize the territorial integrity of Serbia, and in particular the status of the province of Kosovo and Metohia as an integral part of Serbia, which is guaranteed under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
The SAA is due to be ratified next week.
