New KFOR commander takes over his duties on August 29
New KFOR commander, Italian Brigadier-General Giuseppe Emilio Gay will assume his duties on Friday, August 29, the KFOR command said in a statement

Gay will take the command of KFOR from French Liutenent General Xavier Bout de Marnhac, and the ceremony will be attended by Naples-based commander of NATO's Allied Joint Force, U.S. Admiral Mark Fitzgerald and highest international and domestic officials.
The new commander is elected for a year-long term.
