Russia calls for publication of the Mitrovica incidents enquiry
Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin on Friday asked the Security Council to announce as soon as possible the results of the independent investigation into the events that took place in Kosovska Mitrovica in March this year, when a clash broke out between Sebs and international forces.

"Russia still insists on the UN Security Council to be informed as soon as possible about the results of this investigation", Churkin said, pointing out that UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon had assured the Council that the results would be presented.
Members of the local UN civilian mission special forces and troops of the international peacekeeping force KFOR stormed the building of the Kosovska Mitrovica court in mid-March, where former court employees had been staging a sit-in protest.
Ban said he had appointed a special team of investigators to look into the circumstances that triggered a wave of violence in which one Ukrainian policeman was killed and 64 UNMIK policemen, 24 members of the KFOR, and around a hundred Serb protesters were injured.
