Scheffer calls for regular NATO-EU meetings on Kosovo
NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer urged that the NATO North Atlantic Council and the EU Political and Security Council hold regular meetings and discuss operations in the regions where these two organisation work together, such as Kosovo.

Regular NATO-EU meetings have so far been limited to Bosnia-Herzegovina due to the mutual blocking of Turkey - a NATO member, and Cyprus - an EU member, who did not wish to share confidential information about other operations.
Scheffer proposed that this gap be bridged and that regular discussions be led on the issues of Kosovo and Afghanistan.
