Britain: Kosovo’s recognition will not be a condition for Serbia’s EU membership
British Ambassador in Belgrade Stephen Wordsworth said on Tuesday that the recognition of Kosovo's secession is not a condition for Serbia's EU membership, because the EU itself is not unified on the issue.

"Twenty EU members recognise Kosovo, seven do not and have no plans of doing so, at least not soon, so we cannot request Serbia to do more than other members are prepared to do", Wordsworth said.
Britain has been one of the masterminds of Kosovo's unilateral secession.
